Wishbone Yarns are dyed in small batches of ten to fifteen, using African rain water which we gather in large tanks in our garden. The Western Cape of South Africa is in the grips of a devastating drought. I do all I possibly can to minimize the waste of water. Dye baths are exhausted completely and the water is used over again. Wishbone yarns are rinsed in Bio-degradable, organic Castile soap and this water is then used to sustain our small vegetable garden.
Colour ways are rarely repeated.
I ship locally via PostNet and globally via registered SAPO airmail – a tracking number will be supplied after shipping.
For South African customers – at this time, accepted payment is via EFT.
Stock is automatically removed from the shop as soon as an order is made.
Please – as a courtesy, if you have changed your mind about buying, let me know –
this means that I can add the stock back to the shop.
(Stock will be kept aside for 24 hours after your order – please send proof of payment to firstname.lastname@example.org to secure your order)
For overseas customers, I supply a PayPal invoice in your currency after your order, with shipping included (Please place the items you’d like in your basket and select “PayPal invoices for customers outside South Africa” at check out)
This is the safest form of payment available.
Please bear in mind, that due to differences in time zones – and life – this is not always immediate. At present, Wishbone is a one-woman operation.
PayPal invoices attract a ten percent fee on all items to cover fees incurred by the transfer of funds and currency conversion.
PayPal invoices are valid for 24 hours after issue, after which stock will revert back to wishboneyarn.com
Overseas parcels take anything from one to three weeks to arrive at their final destination. Over peak times – such as Christmas holidays, parcels can take up to four weeks to arrive.
Wishbone does not offer a lay-bye service, nor are exchanges possible after purchase.
